Fairfield Ranks High with College-Educated Millennials in National Report


According to a recent report from the Brookings Institution, a public policy organization based in Washington, DC, Connecticut ranked 5th among states with the highest percentage of college educated millennials. Moreover, the metropolitan region that includes Fairfield ranked 11th among the largest metro areas, with roughly 46% of millennials aged 25-34 having earned college degrees. The Boston-Cambridge metro area topped the list with more than 58% of millennials having a four-year college degree. Why is this important? The reports highlights one of the Town’s greatest assets. Home to two nationally recognized universities and featuring a deep talent pool, Fairfield’s highly educated and productive workforce is attractive for further economic development in town.
